We are working with a prestigious client — a multisite business with over 80 years of UK experiences supplying to the construction sector. Operating a state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Leicestershire, this company offers long-term job security, an outstanding reputation, and nationwide success. The engineering department is known for its supportive culture, robust training programs, and clear career progression paths. They are currently looking to strengthen their engineering team by welcoming a mechanical maintenance engineer.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Reactive Maintenance
- Planned Preventive Maintenance
- Mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Working on mechanical systems such as conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and pumps
- Repair and overhaul of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Occasional work involving control systems and minor electrical understanding
Candidate Requirements:
Our ideal Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Willingness to work shifts (4 on 4 off – Days & Nights)
- Strong team player with a positive, problem-solving attitude
