Financial Controller – Grimsby - c£70,000 & BonusChase & Holland are working with a fast-growing, market leading, international manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Hull, to recruit a Financial Controller to join the business during a period of continued development. This is a fantastic opportunity to strategically support the Plant Director by providing insight and oversee the financials, compliance and controls for the site.In return you will receive:

Your Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Be a visible leader across the site & the business who promotes and “lives” the Group’s values and culture.
  • Partner with the Plant Director, providing good information, insights and challenge enabling better decision making & the ability to run the site
  • Responsible to managing all financial and management reporting for the site
  • Strategic projects – play a leading role in the transformation of the site
  • Ensure the integrity of financial reporting, financial controls and compliance for the site
  • Management of product costings on site in conjunction with the Commercial team
  • Drive the implementation of global accounting policies and procedures
  • Periodic forecasting and planning activities, including leading the annual budget
  • Manage relationship with the auditors and ensure GAAP/ IFRS compliance.
  • Motivate, coach and develop the team
  • Maximising the use of the ERP system and continuously drive improvements in processes and reporting
  • Change management experience with ability to lead key projects.

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA or ACA) with strong PQE experience
  • Proven Financial Controller with strong financial and operational achievements
  • Passionate to play a hands on role and mentor/ develop your team
  • Strong background in a similar role within a fast paced environment, ideally manufacturing or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a real team player
  • IT literate including ERP Systems and Excel
  • Passion for continuous improvement and developing systems
