My client is looking to appoint a Driver / Labourer to join them on a permanent basis. My client is a regional main contractor who deliver projects across a range of sectors including health, education, industrial and commercial. This role sites within the Minor Works division who deliver a wide range of new, and refurbishment projects up to £3m in value.

The role of the Driver / Labourer is to support the operations on the construction sites, including keeping the sites clean and safe. This will also include the occasional use of power tools and erection of tower rigs. Delivering and removing plant and materials to site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out work as instructed by the Project/Site Manager
  • Keeping the construction site clean and safe
  • Ensuring that tools and site are left clean and tidy at the end of each working day
  • Assisting other trades, as required
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Report issues with equipment and unsafe conditions
  • Handle and moving of materials and equipment, including deliveries
  • Put up site signage
  • Erection of temporary tower rigs
  • Ensure work is carried out and finished to a high standard
  • Ensuring company vehicle is maintained and kept to the standard required of the business
