Estimator – Civil Engineering

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 DOE

  About the Role

NEOS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor offering long-term career development, professional growth, and involvement in a wide range of civil engineering projects across groundworks, infrastructure, and utilities.

  Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and tenders for civil engineering projects.

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess scope and project risks.

  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers to obtain competitive material and subcontractor quotations.

  • Conduct site visits and assessments where required.

  • Develop and maintain cost databases, rate schedules, and supplier relationships.

  • Support project teams with cost analysis, value engineering, and commercial guidance.

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities and tender documentation in line with company procedures.

  • Ensure all estimates meet commercial, technical, and compliance requirements.

  Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in estimating within the civil engineering sector.

  • Strong understanding of groundworks, infrastructure, and utilities.

  • Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
