This well-established company are building a reputable name within the renewable energy sector, specialising in the design, construction and operations of commercial and industrial solar PV, EV and battery storage projects across the UK. With ambitious plans to scale up and expand into larger, more exciting ventures, they are now seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their passionate team to fuel future success.
In this role, the Technical Estimator will manage all commercial elements for the planning and construction of commercial and industrial scale Solar PV projects. Responsibilities involve estimating project costs, producing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and creating essential project documentation, including CI packs, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals. This position is 100% office based in the Hull region.
This role would suit an experienced Estimator or Quantity surveyor with a background working on commercial and / or industrial scale projects and good working knowledge of AutoCAD. Industry backgrounds considered include renewable, building, civils, mechanical, roofing or similar.

The Role:
- Overall commercial responsibility for commercial and industrial scale Solar PV projects
- Estimate project costs
- Produce Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Produce Construction Information (CI) packs, As-built packs / O&M manuals
- Interpret commercial tender specifications
- Manage the due diligence stage (grid, planning, structural, etc.)
- Office based
The Person:
- 5+ years experience in estimating and surveying for commercial and / or industrial scale construction projects
- Experience within renewables, building, mechanical, roofing, civils or similar
- Good AutoCAD knowledge
- A passion for renewable energy
