As a Skilled CNC Operator, you'll be responsible for the accurate and efficient production of high-quality components using a variety of CNC machinery. Your work will directly support our manufacturing process and ensure the reliability of our production line.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Fanuc or similar
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with a multi-skilled engineering team to solve problems and improve processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship
- Proven experience in a hands-on machinist role
- Strong background in CNC milling and turning
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Team player with good communication skills
- Comfortable working with various metals and machining techniques
- Experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment
- Programming knowledge of CNC machines
- Engineering degree or additional technical qualifications
- Calm under pressure and highly reliable
- Strong health and safety awareness
