Manufacturing Futures are working with a well-established and fast-growing construction and manufacturing business based near Hull. Due to a period of sustained growth, we are recruiting an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is a key role within the pre-construction function, supporting a variety of both permanent and temporary build projects across the commercial, industrial, and education sectors.

You will play a crucial part in delivering accurate and competitive tenders, ensuring profitability and risk management are prioritised from the outset. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, technically capable, and confident working with both internal stakeholders and external design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with bid teams to prepare and submit competitive tenders
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates across a range of construction projects
  • Identify and evaluate project risks during the pre-construction phase
  • Manage pre-qualification, quality, and pre-bid submissions
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and design consultants
  • Conduct site visits as required to assess project requirements and constraints

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry practices
  • Proven track record in delivering successful bids and managing the tender process
  • Experience working across sectors such as education, commercial, and industrial
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to present estimates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required
