About the Role:
As our Care Home Cook, youll be at the heart of the homebringing comfort, nourishment, and joy through your meals. Youll prepare tasty, nutritious dishes for our residents, taking into account their dietary needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare balanced meals and snacks for residents
- Cater to individual dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, texture-modified diets)
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
- Cook British Meals and Baking
- Work closely with the care team to ensure residents needs are met
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role (care home or community cooking preferred)
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
- A kind, patient nature and a genuine interest in supporting older people
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to plan menus and manage time effectively
