Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in both Drama and Dance to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration through performance-based learning.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Contribute to school productions, showcases, and extracurricular performing arts activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the expressive arts team and across the wider school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialism or strong experience in teaching both Drama and Dance.
  • A creative, enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including after-school clubs and events.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
