Executive Support Officer
Central Hull
18-20 per hour
3 month temporary contract with opportunity to apply for permanent role
Full time in the office initially but will move to 4 days in office and 1 day WFH once training is complete
Are you an organised and proactive individual looking to embark upon an exciting executive support opportunity? Our public sector client is seeking a dedicated Executive Support Officer for a new project due to launch imminently. If you want to be involved in the launch of something special and become an integral part of the team this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!
What You'll Do:
As an Executive Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the leadership team's activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Diary Management: Organise busy and complex schedules, prioritise workloads, and coordinate paperwork to keep the Chief Executive on track.
- Meeting Support: Act as Meeting Secretary by preparing documents, taking minutes, and following up on action items to ensure effective meetings.
- Information Management: Draft, proofread and coordinate correspondence, report and presentations. Also condense and filter communications, saving valuable time for the Directors.
- Manage Deadlines: Supporting the Chief Executive with organisation and prioritisation to meet critical deadlines.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Liaise with senior stakeholders including government departments, local authorities and business leaders
- Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate both internal and external events, making them memorable and efficient.
- Travel Arrangements: Book travel, hotels, and conferences.
What We're Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following essential qualities:
- Proven experience as an PA/EA, having supported to C-Suite level.
- Previous experience within the public sector would be highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent diary management skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A flexible attitude that allows for quick changes in focus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in producing accurate, timely meeting minutes.
Desirable Qualities:
- A strong academic background, ideally educated to degree level.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
