Aquilo recruitment are excited to be partnering with a market leading printing business looking for a commercial executive/ estimator to join their growing team.
To co-ordinate, produce and ensure efficient, accurate and timely estimates.
Key Performance Tasks for a Estimating Technician:
- Continuously review workload throughout the day to ensure efficiency of quotes produced taking into account customer priority lists.
- Review work in progress raising any anomalies or queries commercial team and account management teams to ensure best price is generated.
- To work in accordance with company operating and quality procedures at all times to ensure compliance with working practices & standards.
- To carry out projects as instructed by meeting project objectives and deadlines.
- Perform other duties as reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate with its level of responsibility in order to contribute to the success of the of Company.
- To continually train and train others in all aspects of the estimating process to assist the development of individuals and the team.
- To be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and Company Policy; for maintaining safe working conditions including equipment; for drawing attention to hazards and to take reasonable care of ourselves and others. To ensure that all-necessary safety devices and protective equipment are used, and to co-operate in the operation of the Health & Safety Policy at all times.
- Ensure that you comply with the Quality and Security policies and procedures.

- Consistent attainment of agreed estimating targets within given timescales
- All estimates meet customer & company specified requirements and quality standards
- Reduction of estimating costs
- To work as part of the estimating team ensure the company goals are met
- To demonstrate a flexible approach to work
Skills required for a Estimating Technician:
- Previous working experience within estimating team; desirable within Print industry
- In depth knowledge of all estimating processes
- Sound working knowledge of computing systems (Tharstens is desirable)
- A working knowledge of company cost centres/codes
- Flexible and adaptable approach to rapidly changing work priorities with ability to remain calm under pressure
- A helpful and co-operative attitude
- Ability to work within team setting
Desirable
- Print industry experience is desirable
- Good knowledge of print market and competitors
