Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on Experience)

Are you a passionate MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher who can inspire students to appreciate the beauty and benefits of learning languages?
GSL Education are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join secondary schools across Hull, starting in September 2025. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, with flexible day-to-day and long-term roles to suit your preferences.
As an MFL Teacher, you will help students discover the joy of learning new languages, whether it's French, Spanish, German, or other modern foreign languages, whilst developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will create dynamic lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and encourage students to engage with foreign cultures and linguistic diversity.
Responsibilities of a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher:
- Teach MFL (French, Spanish, German, or other languages) across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5
- Develop engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and inspire a love of languages
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to help them improve their skills
- Encourage students to apply language skills in real-life contexts and global situations
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to cater to the varied needs of students
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance language learning and cross-curricular projects
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or trips, to promote cultural understanding
Teacher of MFL Qualification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
- A degree in French, Spanish, German, or a related language field
- Previous experience teaching MFL at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5
- Strong communication skills in both English and the target language(s)
- Passionate about promoting linguistic and cultural diversity
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
