GSL Education are excited to offer an opportunity for a PSHE Teacher to join secondary schools in Hull starting in September 2025. We offer flexible roles, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available, as well as day-to-day and long-term contracts to suit your preferences.

As a PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the personal development of young people. Your lessons will cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, relationships, physical health, economic understanding, and citizenship. You will create a safe and supportive environment in which students can openly discuss important issues, build resilience, and develop the knowledge they need to thrive in modern society.

Teacher of PSHE Responsibilities:

  • Teach PSHE across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5
  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons on a range of topics, including emotional well-being, health, relationships, and financial literacy
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics
  • Promote personal development, self-awareness, and confidence in students
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them improve
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the whole-school approach to well-being
  • Engage in extracurricular activities such as mentoring, counselling, or well-being initiatives

Requirements for PSHE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
  • A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Education, Psychology, Health, Social Sciences)
  • Experience in teaching PSHE, ideally at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Knowledge and experience of working with students to promote personal development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
