Printing Machine Operator
Monday to Thursday
12 noon to 10pm or 2pm to Midnight
12.81 which increases to 16.65 after 6pm
We are recruiting a Printing Machine Operator on behalf of our client, a well established digital print company based in the UK. This role is suited to someone with hands on experience operating industrial or digital printing machinery who is confident working in a fast paced production environment.
Role overview
The Printing Machine Operator will be responsible for the day to day operation of digital printing machines, ensuring jobs are set up correctly, run efficiently and meet required quality standards. This is a practical, machine focused role requiring proven experience with print equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Operating digital printing machines throughout the shift to meet production schedules
- Setting up print jobs including loading substrates, inks and files as required
- Adjusting machine settings such as colour, alignment and registration
- Monitoring output to ensure consistent print quality
- Identifying and resolving basic machine faults and stoppages
- Carrying out routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines
- Working closely with production and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Adhering to health and safety and company procedures at all times
Experience and skills required
- Previous experience operating digital printing machines is essential
- Experience with large format, UV, flatbed or similar industrial print equipment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of print processes, materials and quality control
- Ability to troubleshoot common print and machine issues
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working afternoon and evening shifts
