Law Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time, temporary Law lecturer to work at a college in Hull, starting ASAP and lasting until Christmas 2024 in the first instance. This may be extended in the future. This is a 0.5 timetable, with working hours being: Wednesday 9-12, and Thursday/Friday 9-4. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. There is the potential to bolster hours with additional work within the college.

This role will primarily involve teaching Law to BTEC Level 2 and 3 students. The ability to teach Criminology to BTEC Level 2 and 3 students could lead to additional hours for this booking. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role are expected for this position, but there is a large bank of online resources available meaning that the planning required for this position will be minimal.

The College is located in Hull, and is central, meaning it is easy to reach via public transport from all areas of the city. There is a car park onsite, but there are often not spaces available. Parking at a very local car park is available, with spaces always available, and this can be paid as additional wages. The college puts great pride in their vocational offerings, and have excellent links with local business to ensure that their students have the best possible opportunities during their course and afterwards.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the willingness to work towards one)
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience teaching Law
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
