Are you an IT Technician looking to take the next step in your career working for a well established Manufacturing business on the outskirts of Hull? If so Futures may have the ideal role for you. As the IT Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting IT systems across the company. You will work closely with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of all technology-related functions, from installing and configuring hardware to resolving software issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers

• Set up and manage user accounts, email systems, and security protocols.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, business applications, and connectivity.

• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers and network devices.

• Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.

• Document technical procedures, issue resolutions, and user guides.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support IT projects and new technology implementations.

• Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices.

The ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a multi-user environment.

• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.

• Familiarity with networking concepts

• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues on desktops, laptops, and printers.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with IT security best practices.

• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud computing.
