Role – Commercial Property Solicitor
Location: Kingston upon Hull
Department: Pub Team
Salary : £20,500 - £37,500 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (1-hour lunch)
Working Pattern: Office-based with expectation of 4 days/week in office for NQs

Overview:
We are recruiting a bright and motivated Newly Qualified Commercial Property Solicitor (or up to 1-year PQE) to join the well-established and highly regarded Pub Team of a leading law firm in Kingston upon Hull. The firm has a long-standing reputation advising some of the UK’s largest pub companies and licensed operators. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career solicitor looking to specialize in commercial property law within the vibrant and ever-evolving pub and leisure sector. Prior experience in the sector is not essential; however, a solid grounding in general commercial property law is required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting partners and senior solicitors on a varied caseload involving leases, acquisitions, disposals, and landlord & tenant matters
- Managing smaller matters independently with supervision
- Ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction and timely communication
- Attending occasional client meetings and business development events
- Working collaboratively with your team to deliver a consistently high level of service
- Meeting agreed billing and time-recording targets.
- Ensuring client confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ–1-year PQE) or CILEX equivalent
- A foundational understanding of commercial property law gained through training or early PQE work
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced specialist team
- Strong IT skills including case management systems and Microsoft Office
- A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach
