Join a Fast-Moving Team Driving Operational ExcellenceWe're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Administrator to join the high-performing logistics team at our clients busy manufacturing site in East Hull. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring goods flow smoothly from suppliers to production and out to customers - on time, every time.
?? What You'll Be DoingAs a Logistics Administrator, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the logistics and warehousing functions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Goods Inward & Inventory Control: Managing incoming deliveries, verifying documentation, and updating stock records using our MRP system.
- Order Kitting & Load Prep: Coordinating the picking and preparation of works orders and outbound shipments.
- Vendor & Data Management: Maintaining vendor control sheets, tracking performance, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Dispatch Coordination: Ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time and in full.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with production, planning, and procurement teams to streamline logistics processes.
- Process Improvement: Supporting the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Waste & Space Management: Helping to reduce waste and optimise warehouse layout and storage.
- Promote and adhere to all Health & Safety policies in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or unsafe practices immediately.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Essential:
- Experience in a logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of injection moulding or similar manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with vehicle scheduling and goods movement.
- Experience with inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
