About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established facilities management organisation. In this autonomous role, you will also collaborate with Client Representatives to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality property maintenance service across all on-site facilities. You will be an integral part of the wider In-house Maintenance Team, bringing a designated core skill and leading in this area, while also being capable of undertaking a broad range of property maintenance tasks within your competence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and alongside Client Representatives to provide a comprehensive property maintenance service.
- Collaborate with the Hard Services Manager and Engineering Team to ensure all PPM and breakdown tasks are programmed and completed in line with contractual/statutory requirements and your skillset.
- Supervise the Engineering Team, ensuring tasks are carried out to a high standard with a strong focus on customer service.
- Support the Hard Services Manager in contractor management, ensuring all contractors provide necessary RAMs which are reviewed before work commences.
- Ensure that facilities are maintained to the standards outlined in the Project Agreement Performance Standards between our client and their clients.
- Independently or as part of a team, undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work on:
- Service and repair of lighting and power distribution systems.
- Reactive repairs to all types of lighting and power distribution systems.
- Service and repair of motors and pumps.
- BMS control systems.
- Perform maintenance duties in a way that supports client objectives and respects the dignity and privacy of residents.
- Ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
- Adhere to safe working practices at all times, complying with Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, and Waste Disposal procedures.
- Maintain asset histories, maintenance records, and helpdesk reports, informing the administrator or tradesperson of any necessary follow-up actions.
- Participate in an On-Call rota to provide 24/7, 365-day cover to the facilities.
- Report all accidents and incidents appropriately.
- Provide support and assistance to other on-site personnel in the delivery of contracted services.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Management Team in line with operational requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified tradesperson with significant experience in property maintenance within the Public or Private sector.
- SQA Certificate in electrical installation parts one and two (or approved equivalent, including 18th Edition regulations).
- Proven experience in electrical power distribution systems and lighting systems.
- Experience with BMS/EMS control systems.
- Electrical Testing qualification (Desirable).
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
