Are you passionate about automation and sustainable technology? A pioneering engineering business in East Yorkshire is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their growing team. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering cutting-edge control systems for advanced climate-controlled facilities across the UK.

From high-tech greenhouses and vertical farms to renewable energy integrations, you'll be working on some of the most exciting and forward-thinking projects in the sector.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and commissioning PLC/SCADA-based control systems
  • Developing solutions for HVAC, irrigation, lighting, and environmental control
  • Working through full project lifecycles - from concept to installation
  • Fault-finding, testing, and improving system performance on bespoke builds
  • Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and clients

What we're looking for:

  • Background in Electrical or Controls Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Experience with PLC platforms like Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK (with some overnight stays)
  • Any experience with environmental/agricultural systems or BMS is a bonus
