Senior Piping / Vessel Stress Engineer

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced permanent Senior Piping / Vessel Stress Engineer to support nuclear engineering projects involving high-integrity pressure systems. You'll perform and review stress analyses, verify vendor data, and ensure compliance with nuclear quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and manage stress packages from P&IDs and line lists.
Draft piping specifications and create ITT packs for subcontract deliverables.
Perform and review:
Piping stress and flexibility analyses (static/dynamic).
Vibration and fatigue assessments.
Pipe support design and selection.
Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Support QA/QC implementation and project documentation.
Essential Skills
Software:
Hexagon - Caesar II, pipe stress analysis - essential
Hexagon - PV Elite pressure vessel analysis - essential
Dynaflow - PRG Software including NozzlePRO / FE Pipe - desirable
AutoCAD Plant 3D - desirable
Codes: ASME B31.1, B31.3, BS EN 13480, BS EN 13840.
Strong technical report writing and design verification capability.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in nuclear or high-integrity piping design.
Chartered Engineer status (or working toward it).
You must be able to obtain BPSS Security clearance
