GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Primary School Teacher – Year 4 to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Hull. This exciting opportunity is perfect for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who is eager to contribute to a positive learning environment and help pupils excel both academically and personally.

As a Year 4 Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Year 4 curriculum, supporting pupil development, and working collaboratively with a dedicated teaching team to maintain high standards of education and behaviour.

Responsibilities of Primary School Teacher – Year 4:

  • Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Plan and prepare creative, inclusive, and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance pupil learning.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
  • Provide pastoral support and encourage the social, emotional, and academic growth of every child.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievement.

Year 4 Primary Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong understanding of the Year 4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.
  • Ability to differentiate and tailor teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
