Reporting to the NPD Manager, you'll be the vital link between kitchen creativity and full-scale production-turning exciting concepts into successful launches. Whether your background is in process, food science, or specifications, this is your chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Be the bridge between concept and launch-working cross-functionally to ensure smooth product rollouts.
  • Lead factory trials, capturing key data (throughput, machine settings, labour, waste, pH, temps, etc.).
  • Own the capability and launch phases of the NPD process.
  • Manage internal specs (QAS, recipe cards, process sheets) and customer specs via platforms like Erudus and Asda Engage.
  • Coordinate shelf-life testing, sensory evaluations, and nutritional analysis.
  • Review and ensure compliance of customer artwork and internal labels with current legislation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure food safety and quality are built into every product.
  • Drive innovation, renovation, and value creation projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and maintain top-tier quality.
  • Present at customer innovation sessions and roadshows-showcase your work with pride!

  • Experience in a similar role within the food industry is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing the capability and launch phases of NPD.
  • Ideal for candidates from a Process/Factory background looking to grow into specifications.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and confident in managing multiple projects.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present data clearly and concisely.
  • A continuous improvement mindset-ready to challenge the norm and drive progress.
  • Solid understanding of Food Safety and HACCP principles.
