Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a mechanical bias to support a high-profile pharmaceutical construction project in Hull. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and commercial performance, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and quality.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all commercial aspects of mechanical packages on the project.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim and final accounts.
  • Administer and manage contracts under JCT and NEC3/4 forms.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting.
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure commercial alignment.
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong mechanical background.
  • Proven experience working on complex construction or pharmaceutical projects.
  • Proficient in JCT and NEC3/4 contract administration.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ideally based in or near Hull - no expenses will be covered for travel or accommodation.
