What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS), PGCE, or equivalent qualifications in English.
  • Proven experience teaching English up to A-level, with a strong grasp of both English Language and Literature in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons, preparing students for GCSE and A-level exams with confidence.
  • A commitment to developing students' analytical, writing, and communication skills, encouraging a love for literature from classic texts to contemporary works.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
  • A passion for inspiring students to think critically, engage with diverse texts, and develop their unique voices through creative and academic writing.
  • Local to or ability to reliably commute to Hull.
