GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated PE Teachers to work in secondary schools across Hull, starting from September 2025. Whether you're looking for a full-time, part-time, day-to-day supply, or long-term opportunity, we’d love to support your teaching journey.
As a PE Teacher, you’ll be delivering a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering skills in a range of sports, fitness, and physical health. You will support students in developing their confidence, resilience, and personal achievement through sport and exercise.
To be a successful Physical Education (PE) Teacher, what you have to do:
- Teach PE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Plan and deliver a diverse PE curriculum, including team and individual sports
- Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and student wellbeing
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and school competitions
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback and support for improvement
- Create an inclusive and encouraging environment for all students
- Work collaboratively with other staff to enhance whole-school initiatives
Teacher of PE Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
- A degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
- Sports coaching experience in UK schools or with young people is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
