Our client, a global leader in feed and biofuel production technology, is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to support and manage service operations across the UK and Ireland. This is a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction through the smooth delivery of field services and technical support.

Operating across multiple international locations and backed by decades of expertise, our client offers innovative equipment and tailored solutions to customers worldwide. Their Hull-based site is at the heart of UK and Ireland operations, working closely with service engineers, sales teams, and product specialists across Europe.

The Role

As Service Coordinator, you will lead and support a team of both site-based and field engineers, ensuring all service activities, from planned maintenance to emergency breakdown's are delivered to the highest standards. You'll also oversee local workshop operations and coordinate spare parts, documentation, and safety compliance.

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager (Europe), this role involves regular cross-functional collaboration with teams in finance, sales, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage the workload of remote field engineers using the FSM (Field Service Management) platform
  • Support and supervise Hull-based engineers and refurbishment staff
  • Organise training, site visits, and inspections, and hold regular team meetings
  • Handle warranty claims and emergency breakdown responses
  • Prepare quotes for service work and spare parts, following up to secure customer approvals
  • Order, track, and dispatch parts and tools to job sites
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times, including preparing RAMS documentation
  • Understand technical specifications and identify parts from manuals and diagrams
  • Maintain and renew service agreements with key customers
  • Provide technical advice and support before and during service visits
  • Feed operational insights and NCR findings into SAP for ongoing quality improvement

About You

You'll be a confident communicator and a natural organiser, able to juggle multiple priorities while keeping both customers and internal teams aligned. A background in engineering services or technical coordination is essential.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 4-5 years' experience in a similar engineering or service coordination role
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office tools
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills
  • A proactive, customer-first attitude and excellent time management
  • Flexibility to support urgent service demands and after-hours issues when needed
  • A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
