SEN Teacher - Full-Time - Hull - September StartAre you a passionate and dedicated SEN teacher with a strong background in supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs? We are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Hull from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.The school is a well-established alternative provision that caters for children and young people aged 11-16 who have been excluded from mainstream education or require additional support due to complex SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The setting provides a nurturing, structured and supportive environment where pupils are given the opportunity to re-engage with education and develop the skills they need to succeed.The school has been rated Good by Ofsted and is praised for its strong leadership, inclusive ethos, and commitment to supporting each pupil as an individual. Staff work closely together to create a consistent, therapeutic approach to learning that helps pupils build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification
  • Have proven experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs
  • Be confident in managing behaviour and creating a calm, supportive classroom environment
  • Have a flexible, compassionate and trauma-informed approach to teaching
