Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join our partner SEN schools across Hull & East Riding. This is a great opportunity to support children and young people from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5 (ages 5-19) with Autism and Learning Disabilities.
You'll be part of a committed and innovative team, working in a well-established setting that focuses on personalised learning and an inclusive environment for every student.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:

Deliver engaging, creative, and tailored lessons to students with Autism and Learning Disabilities across different key stages.

Plan and adapt lessons based on the National Curriculum, focusing on functional skills and individual progress.

Guide and support teaching assistants and other staff to create a consistent and positive classroom atmosphere.

Teach small classes with a high staff-to-student ratio.

Contribute to the leadership of a specific subject or curriculum area if you have relevant interest or experience.

Promote a positive and respectful school culture.

Provide regular updates on student progress to the senior leadership team, parents, and carers.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

Proven experience teaching in an SEN environment or working closely with young people with Autism and complex needs.

A proactive and flexible approach to education.

Strong classroom management skills and a good understanding of challenging behaviour.

A creative outlook and the ability to plan differentiated, meaningful lessons.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
