Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions

We're looking for a full-time, Transport Planner to join us at our site in Hull. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Managing Daily Computer Systems: Overseeing transport operations and ensuring systems run smoothly.
  • Customer Service Liaison: Communicating with customer services to ensure seamless operations.
  • Driver Support: Assisting drivers with daily queries and challenges.
  • Route Planning and Dispatch: Organizing and optimizing driver routes for efficient service delivery.

What you need to succeed with our client:

  • Previous transport experience.
  • Having a full UK driving licence is preferred as the hours may be outside of public transport.
  • Basic understanding of driver hours and planning. Knowledge of driver working hours, schedules, and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems
  • Great customer service skills
