Forklift Truck Driver - Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
Location: Kingston Upon Hull (HU7)
Pay: 12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (early finish at 3:00pm on Fridays)
Contract: 3-month temporary contract with potential to go permanent
Overview:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable FLT Driver to join their warehouse and production team. This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work with a well-established company offering stability, training, and potential for a permanent role after a successful initial period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating forklift trucks to move pallets, raw materials, and finished goods safely around the site
- Supporting both warehouse and production teams with material movement
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintaining accurate stock rotation and storage
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
- Ideally hold a valid Bendy / Flexi FLT licence
- Counterbalance or Reach truck licences also accepted, with a willingness to complete a conversion course (provided by the company)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first attitude
What's on Offer:
- 12.71 per hour pay rate
- 3-month temporary contract with potential for permanent employment
- Monday to Friday working hours (8am-4pm), with an early finish at 3pm on Fridays
- Breaks include 20 minutes after 2 hours of work, plus an additional 15-minute afternoon break
- Overtime paid at time and a half (may not be available during the first 12 weeks)
- Free conversion training for suitable drivers
