Welding Lecturer

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Welding and Fabrications Lecturer to work at a College in Hull, starting 1st September 2025 and lasting indefinitely. Ideally this will be a temporary to permanent position, with the successful candidate working on a supply basis for 12 weeks, before transferring onto a permanent contract. There are both full time (35 hours per week) and part time positions available (2 days per week) for this role. Payment for this position will be between £20 and £40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve teaching Welding skills to apprentices and BTEC Level 2 and 3 students We are looking that has relevant industry based experience to Level 3 or above. The College would happily accept applications from candidates with the relevant level 3 qualification, without teaching experience. The College would happily put people through their teaching qualifications.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from almost all parts of Hull via Bus, and has an onsite car park for candidates who drive. There is also a large car park nearby that is low cost and can be reimbursed in wages. This college is the vocational hub for the city and has a great reputation in the local area.

  • Has a level 3 qualification in Welding/Fabrication
  • Has experience teaching Welding (ideal but not necessary)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

  • Legal right to work in the UK
