About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in West Hull. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components for the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding and Fabrication:
- MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and other metals.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to specification.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Machine Operation:
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (e.g., saws, grinders, drills).
- General Duties:
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist with loading/unloading materials as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.
Advantageous:
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Full UK driving licence.
