About the Role

Well-established manufacturing business in Hull, currently seeking a skilled and reliable Wood Machinist to join the night shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of woodworking machinery in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

?? Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of woodworking machines including:
    • Automatic and manual crosscut saws
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Measure, cut, and shape timber and plywood to precise specifications
  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on machinery
  • Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a wood machinist in a manufacturing or joinery setting
  • Confident operating both manual and automatic crosscut saws
  • Strong understanding of timber types and machining techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment
