We are recruiting for a Technical Buyer for this client who has a range of specialist projects, creating a unique and diverse challenge for their supply chain team to establish and maintain preferred suppliers that can support these projects.

This company are a well-respected name in the specialist vehicles market, from engineering, vehicle performance or manufacturing, working with leading OEM's in the automotive industry to develop their "halo" vehicle projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Purchasing specified components and materials from liaising with engineering and quality teams.
  • Raising purchase orders and prioritising important projects to ensure delivery time.
  • Liaise with engineering teams for Bill of Materials to be specified and procured accurately.
  • Negotiate and be in regular contact with suppliers.
  • Conducting cost-down activities and regular cost reviews for other suppliers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to understand best return on investment for cost, quality and time to delivery.
