International Sales Executive
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (Office-based with potential international travel)
Salary: £26,000-£28,000 (depending on experience) + Commission
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware International Sales Executive for our client to join a growing sales team focused on global business development. This role involves working with both new and existing distributors and clients across a range of industries to expand their international presence.
The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounts, identify new sales opportunities, and represent the business at global exhibitions and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage strong working relationships with international distributors and end-users.
- Convert leads and enquiries into new business and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Conduct market research to uncover new opportunities and provide strategic insight into competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and pipeline activity.
- Prepare for and actively contribute to regular team meetings and strategy discussions.
- Provide technical advice and product support to international partners.
- Travel overseas to attend trade shows, visit distributors, and promote products globally.
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure professional communication at all times.
- Support colleagues across departments during peak periods or staff absence.
- Continually develop product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a sales or business development role (international experience preferred).
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
- Proactive, self-motivated and results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Comfortable learning technical product information.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Desirable (not essential):
- Previous experience in a B2B sales environment.
- Familiarity with working with distributors or international clients.
