Exciting Opportunity in a Fast-Growing PE-Backed Business

Our client is a dynamic, profitable, and rapidly expanding PE-backed business.Working closely with the CEO and Group Finance Controller, you will help to shape a world-class finance function and drive financial excellence in a high-growth environment.

This is your chance to make a real impact, leveraging a newly implemented system and a strengthened Group Finance Function to support both organic and acquisitive growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Financial Operations: Oversee transactional finance, streamline processes, and drive automation for faster, more insightful management accounts.

  • Own Month-End & Reporting: Deliver audit-ready management accounts, manage balance sheet reviews, and ensure timely regulatory submissions (VAT, PAYE, CT, ONS).

  • Drive Statutory Excellence: Support group audits and ensure compliant, timely statutory accounts.

  • Master Technical Accounting: Apply strong UK GAAP knowledge and coach teams to reduce reliance on external support.

  • Optimize Working Capital: Manage invoicing, debtor collection, supplier payments, and cash upstreaming to Group.

  • Forecast & Budget: Build robust budgets, weekly 18-week cash flow forecasts, and support treasury activities.

  • Lead & Inspire: Manage a well established team, mentor key talent, and foster a high-performing finance function.

  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with the CEO and Senior Management Team to deliver actionable insights, align Group initiatives, and drive commercial results.

Who You Are:

  • We’re looking for a results-driven Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent) with 2+ years’ PQE

  • Strong UK GAAP knowledge

  • Proven ability to deliver robust financial reporting and analysis in a fast-paced setting.

  • Organized, proactive, and results-driven with a knack for process improvement and automation.

  • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.

  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable in a high-growth environment.

  • IT-savvy, with advanced Excel skills and quick adoption of new systems.
