Are you passionate about connecting with people and driving positive change in your community? Our client is looking for a proactive and inspiring Community Fundraiser to join their Eastern team and help raise vital funds for their well-known charity organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive fundraising team in a job share role, working closely with volunteers, supporters, and community partners to help us improve the lives of those affected by diabetes.

Key duties:

  • Develop and manage relationships with individual supporters, fundraising groups, and volunteers to maximise fundraising income.
  • Provide excellent stewardship, support, and motivation to community fundraisers through tailored guidance, resources, and encouragement.
  • Represent Diabetes UK at fundraising events, community meetings, and third-party activities across the region.
  • Identify and cultivate new fundraising opportunities and partnerships within local communities.
  • Deliver presentations and attend networking events to raise awareness and promote engagement with Diabetes UK.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support national campaigns and integrate local activity into wider organisational goals.
  • Ensure supporter data is accurately recorded and maintained in line with GDPR and internal processes.
  • Contribute to planning, reporting, and budgeting processes by tracking performance and forecasting income.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement in community fundraising roles.
  • Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of supporters and maximise impact.

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, volunteer management, or community engagement.
  • Confident and engaging communicator, able to present ideas and information effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience of managing supporter relationships and delivering against income targets.
  • IT literate, with experience using CRM databases (training provided).
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for regional travel (essential).
  • Passionate about improving lives and creating inclusive communities.
