This Cambridgeshire-based commercial practice are seeking a Duty Solicitor to add to their busy department. Ideally you will have gained at least 2 Years' PQE and have an active Duty rota slot. The role is a mixed general crime role dealing with matters at the Police Station and Magistrates Court, Crown Court, from straightforward summary only matters to grave, indictable only offences. Having Higher Rights of Audience would be a welcome bonus, with the ability to deal with some Crown Court work. There is also scope to deal with private crime & regulatory matters, as well as police federation and private prosecution work.The firm is fully committed to Legal Aid work and has taken a robust stance in the market since the cuts to the Legal Aid budget and has continued to grow. There will be scope to progress within the firm and develop your career.Salary will be based on experience and will ideally fall within the £40,000 - £50,000 bracket with a fantastic benefits package including laptop & mobile, opportunity to work from home, flexible working and bonus for police station attendance.
