DSP Engineer | Huntingdon

I’m currently supporting a long-standing client in their search for a DSP Engineer to join their growing R&D team, based on-site in Huntingdon. This is a permanent DSP Engineer job offering the opportunity to work at the forefront of high-performance audio technology, contributing to both existing platforms and future product innovations.

The role sits within a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, and optimisation of advanced digital signal processing systems for world-class audio products. It’s an excellent opportunity for a hands-on DSP specialist who enjoys both coding and problem-solving in a collaborative and technically rich environment.

Key Responsibilities for the DSP Engineer job:

  • Maintain and develop robust DSP codebases for audio products across current and future platforms.
  • Design and prototype signal processing algorithms in MATLAB and/or Python, before implementing in C/C++.
  • Work closely with research and acoustics teams to translate theoretical designs into high-performance solutions.
  • Provide technical support and documentation for B2B partners and integration projects.
  • Contribute to product architecture, feature estimation, and cross-functional design discussions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support ongoing development of internal processes and platforms.

Essential Skills & Experience for the DSP Engineer job:

  • Degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant field (e.g. Audio Engineering, DSP, Electronics, Physics).
  • Strong DSP background, ideally within the audio industry.
  • Experience with ADI SHARC DSPs, C/C++, and digital filter/algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for algorithm simulation and prototyping.
  • Familiarity with DSP system design, hardware/software integration, and audio signal chain.
