Supported Learning Lecturer (Part-Time)Location: HuntingdonPay Rate: £27 per hourContract Type: Temporary, Part-Time (14 hours per week)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Supported Learning Lecturer to join a dynamic and supportive team at a further education campus in Huntingdon. This temporary, part-time role offers the chance to make a real impact in the lives of learners with special educational needs.About the Role: You will be responsible for delivering engaging and meaningful Life Skills and Employability sessions to small groups of students with a range of learning needs, including SLD, ASD, MLD, and SEMH. Each learner follows a structured core timetable with personalised learning goals aligned to their EHCP targets.The role involves leading one or two learning programmes, planning high-quality lessons, and overseeing instructors who deliver parts of the programme. You will ensure consistency in delivery, student engagement, and progress monitoring.You will be part of a collaborative, inclusive environment that values innovation and student-centred learning.What We’re Looking For:
  • A qualified teacher (PGCE, DTLLS, or DET)
  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths
  • Experience working with learners with SEN, particularly those with complex or moderate needs
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
  • Creative, proactive, and able to design engaging, practical learning experiences
  • Experience with RARPA and/or accredited qualification delivery and assessment
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge or qualifications in Makaton and ASD support
  • Experience in the creative industries, especially drama, media, or English
  • Confidence in teaching English from Entry Level 3 to GCSE
  • Familiarity with Apple Mac systems and media software (e.g., Photoshop, ProLogic)
