KM4HR are seeking to recruit a Payroll Manager for an internationally owned business based in the Cambridgeshire area.

With responsibility for the UK payroll covering c.1000 employees we are looking for a customer focussed manager to deliver the entire payroll service. In addition, you will have 2 direct reports and responsibility for managing ongoing process development and the department as part of the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of payroll reports for all staff, both salaried and hourly paid
  • Accurate processing of monthly and seasonal bi-weekly payrolls
  • Manage the Nest Pensions Auto Enrolment process including opt outs, the benefits and perks packages and maintain correct and accurate PAYE, National Insurance and Statutory Payments records
  • Ensure reconciliation and balancing of the payroll accounts
  • Ensure compliance throughout payroll and adhering to TPR, HMRC and GDPR regulations
  • Responsibility for the payment of overseas payrolls working with external payment providers
  • Compile and introduce robust compliant payroll procedures ensuring ongoing updates are maintained
  • Produce and report monthly metrics and KPIs to the Exec, measuring against best practice and benchmarks and striving for continuous improvement

Person Specification

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across differing operating companies and multiple geographic locations
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to speak to non-technical audiences
  • Experience of running multi-site payrolls, working to tight deadlines for payroll commitment
  • Expeirence of managing small teams to deliver payroll as a service
  • A strong customer service focus and attention to detail to ensure payroll is 'right first time’
  • Knowledge of tax and social security in other countries payroll in addition to exposure to UK based employees seconded abroad and their tax implications.
  • iTrent experience desirable.
