Maintenance Engineer

Job Role: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (applications welcome from surrounding counties)
Salary: £48,000–£49,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (Overtime @ 1.5x)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete risk assessments.
• Support production via a 1-in-4 callout rota.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement across the site.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing as a maintenance engineer.
• Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship).
• Strong mechanical and Electrical fault finding and repair
• Good communicator with problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.
