In a nutshell…Our client is a well-established engineering business known for its innovation, technical expertise, and high-quality product delivery across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they're now looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support product development projects from concept through to manufacture including testing and commissioning.

What's involved for the Junior Mechanical Engineer…* Assist in the design and detailing of precision components and tooling using 3D CAD* Assist in producing accurate engineering drawings and BOMs to support CNC machining and assembly* Liaise with machinists and production engineers to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture* Support NPI projects, from concept through to production release* Contribute to process improvements, quality initiatives, and lean manufacturing activities* Help with the development of jigs, fixtures, and inspection tools* Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for both internal and customer use

What you'll need…* Educated or hands on industry experience in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering background* 2 years' experience in a precision or high-tolerance engineering environment * Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo* Understanding of tight tolerance machining, materials, and finishing processes* Awareness of GD&T and relevant industry standards* Keen eye for detail, accuracy, and quality* Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills* A hands-on, proactive approach with a desire to grow and develop
