The job is for a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in electro-mechanical systems located in Cambridgeshire.
The salary range for this position is between £35,000 and £45,000.
Candidates should have practical experience in taking a product from concept through to production, with a strong proficiency in 3D CAD design, particularly Solidworks.
Experience with manufacturing methods such as injection moulding and CNC machining, as well as designing scientific or electro-mechanical products, is required.
Applicants should possess a solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals, including mechanism design and structural analysis.

Key Responsibilities:+ Develop mechanical systems and assemblies for high-performance products+ Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings+ Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams + Support prototyping, testing, and fault-finding+ Participate in design reviews and apply best practices

Key Requirements:+ Practical experience in taking a product from concept through to production+ Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design - Solidworks + Experience with manufacturing methods - injection moulding and CNC machining+ Previously designed scientific or electro-mechanical products + Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals - mechanism design, structural and dynamics analysis
