Full or part time available

Our client is a renowned, family-run business passionate about its heritage and its future.  Driven by excellence, they are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.  Coming from a compliance, risk and governance background in a group or head office function, you will be responsible for two key areas of compliance company-wide:

  • Data - GDPR and true data compliance working closely with IT.
  • FCA - governance of the regulated products sold by the company.

This role is both strategic and operational in that you will work with the C-Suite and Directors to implement and review compliance strategy, whilst also working 'on the ground' to manage day to day elements of governance. Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and update internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure they align with current laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory environment and industry practices.
  • Conduct and arrange regular training sessions for employees.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance, developing risk management strategies.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary advisor on all compliance-related matters, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Lead investigations into compliance issues.

To be suitable for this unique position, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience from a regulatory compliance, governance and policy-driven background, or a regulated industry, is essential.
  • A history of working in the automotive industry would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience of working across both elements (Data and FCA) ideal, however experience touching on either will be considered.
  • Excited to work in a positive ethos-driven company, embracing the company culture in all that you do.
  • Experience of presenting to and partnering with senior management.
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills.

The company is open to embracing different approaches to working - you could be looking for a full time or part time role - and the role is hybrid.
