Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join a well-established specialist school that supports children and young people aged 5 to 19 years with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated needs.

About the Role:As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for our students outside of classroom hours. Working as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team, you’ll help students build independence, develop social skills, and enjoy a rich and rewarding residential experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to students within a residential setting

  • Support students in their daily routines including mornings, evenings, and mealtimes

  • Build positive relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being

  • Assist in planning and leading activities that foster life skills, confidence, and engagement

  • Ensure safeguarding and health and safety protocols are consistently followed

  • Work collaboratively with education and clinical teams to meet each student's individual needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a care, residential, or SEN education setting is desirable

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills

  • A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

  • A commitment to promoting independence and dignity in every aspect of care

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) is a plus
