Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join a well-established specialist school that supports children and young people aged 5 to 19 years with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated needs.
About the Role:As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for our students outside of classroom hours. Working as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team, you’ll help students build independence, develop social skills, and enjoy a rich and rewarding residential experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care and support to students within a residential setting

Support students in their daily routines including mornings, evenings, and mealtimes

Build positive relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being

Assist in planning and leading activities that foster life skills, confidence, and engagement

Ensure safeguarding and health and safety protocols are consistently followed

Work collaboratively with education and clinical teams to meet each student's individual needs
What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a care, residential, or SEN education setting is desirable

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

Excellent communication and teamworking skills

A flexible attitude and willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

A commitment to promoting independence and dignity in every aspect of care

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) is a plus
