Fully home working opportunity with a Leading Semi Conductor firm working on a next generation of microchip developments and have a long term (2 Years), QDOS assessed OUTSIDE IR35 contract opportunity for an experienced developer to work with them on the next generation of semiconductor industrial application.

This position provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of the technology using Yocto 5.0 and later.

Any experience with the following is beneficial;

- Peripheral Driver Development 

- Porting BSPs

- Providing driver support for SOC I.P. Blocks

- Porting Yocto versions

- Yoctoproject

- Kernel development

- Drivers for complex I.P. ( e.g I2C, PCI, USB3)

- Back porting driver support to CIP (beneficial)

- Scarthgap/Dunfell (beneficial)

- Community maintainers (beneficial)

- Upstreaming (beneficial)

The project is set to last 2+ years on a fully home working basis and the client is able to arrange an interview with any suitable candidates from the beginning of April in view of a start between now and June (this can be flexible for the right person). The interview process is a one stage TEAMS call, the client will ship the hardware to you or you can collect from the South West based innovation center. 

This is a great opportunity to make open source contributions to the Linux foundation whilst working with a globally leading client on the next generation of the technology.
