Job Description:

Reed are working alongside a fantastic primary school in Peterborough. They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This full-time role starts in September and involves working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will support the pupil throughout the school day, ensuring they remain on task, manage their behaviour, and help them thrive in a happy and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD.
  • Assist the pupil with their school work and ensure they remain focused.
  • Manage the pupil's behaviour effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Ensure the pupil is happy and able to thrive in the school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to support the pupil's development.

Requirements:

  • UK address and right to work.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Experience working with SEN (either in or out of an educational environment).
  • Excellent behavioural and classroom management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
