Job Description:

Reed are working alongside a fantastic primary school in Peterborough. They are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This full-time role starts in September and involves working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The successful candidate will support the pupil throughout the school day, ensuring they remain on task, manage their behaviour, and help them thrive in a happy and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD.
Assist the pupil with their school work and ensure they remain focused.
Manage the pupil's behaviour effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
Ensure the pupil is happy and able to thrive in the school environment.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to support the pupil's development.

Requirements:

UK address and right to work.
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
Experience working with SEN (either in or out of an educational environment).
Excellent behavioural and classroom management skills.
Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum.
