We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Meldreth, on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality education and life-changing opportunities to children and young people with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.

About The School :

This independent, specialist day school supports children and young people aged 6 to 19 who have a diverse range of complex needs. These include Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Moderate and Severe Learning Disabilities (MLD and SLD), autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and related difficulties. Many students also experience medical conditions and sensory or physical challenges.

The school provides a nurturing, highly individualised learning environment that helps students cope with sensory sensitivities, anxiety, low confidence, and difficulties with change-factors that can influence behaviour.

Outstanding inclusive facilities are available on-site, including a Hydrotherapy pool and large outdoor learning spaces. A dedicated in-house therapy team works in close partnership with classroom staff to deliver a personalised, child-focused curriculum tailored to meet each learner's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored, high-quality learning.

  • A solid understanding of the Teacher Standards and expectations.
  • Experience or knowledge of SEN, particularly sensory-led curriculums.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Attention to detail in assessing, recording, and reporting progress.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support other adults in the classroom.
